Osteopathic Care
What is an Osteopath?

An osteopath is a registered healthcare professional who diagnoses and treats pain, injury, and movement issues using hands-on techniques. They take a whole-body approach, focusing on how muscles, joints, and the nervous system work together to support overall health and mobility. They are also trained on when something needs to be referred onwards.
Manual Therapies and treatment
Hands-On Approach
Our treatment focuses on gentle, effective manual therapies designed to reduce pain, correct dysfunction, and restore movement. Using a hands-on approach, we support your body’s natural ability to heal and function at its best.
We use a range of techniques, including mobilisation, stretching, soft tissue release, joint adjustments, and dry needling, to help improve mobility, relieve tension, and promote recovery.
Exercise Programs
Movement and Function
We emphasise the importance of movement and exercise in patient care. Our customised exercise programmes target specific areas of weakness, improve mobility, and build functional strength, supporting long-term recovery while reducing the risk of future musculoskeletal issues.
What should I expect at the first appointment?
First Appointment
Your osteopath will begin by taking a thorough medical history and performing a musculoskeletal examination to better understand the cause of your symptoms. If required, they may recommend further investigations such as X-rays, scans, or blood tests to help guide your care.
From there, your osteopath will discuss a treatment plan tailored to your condition. This may include hands-on treatment, exercise advice, and practical guidance to support your recovery.
